Voltaic, you missed one in the second image, I can see the scammer's name. Very well done though, that's one of the strangest consumable scams I've seen so far.
Edit: It's a sammer!

lol owned.
There are so many scams, but they're all pretty terrible, and rely on the target being stupid. So really, I never fall for them (except that one time I was half asleep and sold an item for gold instead of platinum...) and expect no one else should...

Yea... thats not really a scam just people thinking they are clever.

Not really a scam. But I was taking a nf char thru the proph missions. Hit the northern Shiverpeaks when you can start to get 6 people in the group and saw someone lfg. Thinking I can just add him instead of henchies grab him and go. It was the one where you have to light the 3 beacons at the end. He picks up the torch and tells me to give him 100k for him to light the beacons. I laughed. Had whatever gold I made doing the first couple missions, so maybe 2k. Told him I didn't have that much on me and if I did I would just rerun this anyways. He talked some crap, I typed /dance and watched tv for 10 minutes and came back to find him gone.

Because:
A) People probably still fall for it
B) He is an ass
C) Laziness thy name is scammers
D) The 'leet' people deserve all the cool weapons, right? Even if they do scam them from others, they are 'leet' and that makes up for it.

If you pay 1k "here", most likely he's gonna leave after getting everyone's 1k. Whether he gets 1k or 2k from each right off the bat, it doesn't bother him. He wants your money.

I hate dye scams in pre...I decided to have a little fun with this dye scammer in Ashford, so I played the act of a newb. Unfortunately I forgot to take a screenshot...oh well, next time.
Scammer: "Buying All dyes but brown and gray for 50g each."
My PM to scammer: "I have a black dye."
Scammer: "Ok."
Me: "Scammer!"
Scammer: "Watch your language or I'll report you." (haha I laughed at this, there was no language, and if anyone shopuld get reported, its the scammer, not the person exposing the scammer to the newbs)
Me in Trade chat: *scammer* is a dye scammer!
After that I left Ashford to continue getting more armor. The scammer left Ashford as well.

Most pathetic scam ever is getting a lowballed price check here on Guru, and in the next sentence they try to buy it from you.

You can expand your chat window as far as you like.
Also, it's more than one screen.

And what was the scam?
All I see is someone trying to buy Dye at a low price, no one has to sell to him. He tells you right up what he's willing to pay, then it's up to you if you want to sell at that price. Cheap trick Yes, but not a scam.

Agreed, it's dirty lowballing, but it's not actually a scam. :P
